This looks so good! We needed something for our windy, foothill home with no shade on the west side. We went about installing posts to anchor these so they would stretch across our back patio, but retract for the windy moments. They came with all the hardware needed and the cord was longer than we needed for it to stretch 16’ across the patio to our roof. Once we figured out the first one, the other two were very easy to figure out. I would recommend a small wrench to tighten the anchors for the shade to hang to the carabiners. Hand-tightening wasn’t enough to withstand the movement when it’s windy. Also it was trial and error figuring out which was the proper length for the tape between the carabiners so you get the proper drapes for the length needed-but it is important to get that right so the full shade expands and not just half of it. We love these and they really help our patio feel complete.Regarding stains: I had just spent hours installing the hardware by myself, when I unrolled the last canopy to hang and discovered it was sent to me with several oily stains on it. I would have sent it back because it really does bother me, but being a 50 yr old woman and thinking of having to install this all over again... I decided to just live with it. Bummer, but overall, the canopy looks beautiful and provides the moderate shade and privacy I need. I intended for it to hang long on the end to block my backyard neighbor, and that worked out great. I wish the quality inspection of this distributer was better and more consistent all around. Was it easy to install?... If you are handy with tools and detail oriented (I happen to be), then it wasn't overly complicated to figure out. FYI: However, since you'll be installing something over-head with a drill, it does require arm strength and back mobility. The cable were tough to bend in the clip, and too hard for me to cut with a regular wire cutter. I'll have my neighbor come trim the excess cable with his heavy duty cable cutter when he can.I bought this shade canopy to fill in a narrow space that gets intense sunlight and makes the deck unbearable. It’s perfect! I installed it by myself and enjoyed the lower temperature on my deck immediately.So far this has held up in some extreme monsoons. I'm pretty impressed and the product appears to be very solid.Once installed perfect! The prep work is tedious attaching each of the hooks and securing the small screw/nut. I laid it out in the backyard and took my time--well worth the investment!Bought 4 of these 4x16 panels and put them up in about 4 hours. Ours are up about 14 feet high which makes securing them back during wind a pain in the butt, but otherwise, they are quite nice.They are closer to 19 feet long if you have less drape, which is what we wanted.Hung the thing a week ago, already the caribiners (supposed to be stainless steel) are corroding. Also not a huge fan of the tape used to control the spacing between slats.
