Flojet 4325 Series Heavy Duty Automatic Deck Washdown Pump - Quad II Diaphragm Technology for Marine, RV & Industrial Cleaning Applications

Pump was easy to install and has good pressure. Cleaning up my boat is easy now.I have had three flojets, they run my house, I have the pump, pressure tank, battery, and cheap 20 amp charge controller in a small plastic doghouse, with a small 20 watt solar panel that has pleased me for many years, and this pump has lasted me with daily use, three years so far, running strong everyday. The pressure switch never seemed right, but it could have been the wrong pressure in my pressure tank. It has worked well, noisy, but I like to hear it, then I know there is no leaks, it's very dependable. Surflow sells what looks like bathroom 1/2 inch supplies, and they claim it makes them more quiet. Lots of people swear by these pumps that live off grid in Hawaii. You get what you pay for. I was not happy with the crooked FLojet sticker on the pump, and sketchy low quality control manufacturing in Mexico as soon I got it out of the box, and I gave it a bad rating. I have to give it 4 stars now, it came ugly, but it kicks ass!The pump arrived on time and complete. I had the old unit out and the new unit installed within an hour, with everything in the same footprint, plumb and working. The only problem was that the filter unit has a different mounting style than the unit it was replacing and comes only with straight fittings, no angles. Fortunately FloJet has not changed their design in a number of years and i was able to reuse the old filter housing and fittings with new filter's internals (screen, o-rings, etc). One warning: if you use this pump in saltwater, then you should blow it out with freshwater before letting it sit for any length of time. Otherwise, expect to replace it every few years. The metal parts may be stainless steel, but not top quality stainless steel.I ordered this pump to replace a Flojet that we already had on our water tank at work. The pump did not come with a 12 V plug, returned for a different pump. I can only assume it would have worked as good as the other Flojet pump.Don’t waste your money. This pump didn’t even last the monthOver the 16 years that I've been pumping my own drinking water from a tank I have used and worn out about eight of these type of pump this is a heavy duty unit and pretty much what I expected but I don't expect it to last longer than 3 years. On the other hand don't get me wrong this is the higher quality heavy duty unit as describedI had to replace the water pump that stopped working after the winterisation. It was easy to replace it and worked without any issue.That pump is perfect. Well designed, good operation and good price. I installed it in my RV that has been caugh in ice and snow for 6 months. I am eager to see summer again to reuse the pump.
